Yieldedness
Teach me to do your will, for you are my God. May your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.
Psalms 143:10 NLT

This verse is written by David. He is being pursued by his enemy and he is seeking God's salvation.
We will, at times, experience this. Depending on where we live the severity and danger can overwhelm us.
Personally, when I seek to serve the Lord my enemy rises up in hatred and the battle is on.
Two days ago I was asked to pray and have been praying. It seems wherever I go enemies are present, even in Christian households. Each of us has areas unyielded to the Lord and this unyileded portion is what rises up against others and it is this portion that plays havoc with our lives and the lives of others.
Salvation is freedom from sin; however, we must yield. Yielding to God sets us free into greater liberty than freedom in finance or circumstance.
Yielding to God is surrender, it is laying down our life for the kingdom of God. Amen!
