rejoice
Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice! Philippians 4:4 NLT

Rejoice means to feel or show great joy or delight. Scripture tells us that the joy of the Lord is our strength. There are times we will feel joy because of a happening: a win, a retirement, a release of some form.
Joy is a fruit of the Spirit. It has nothing to do with happenings, but rather a state of being. If I have the spirit of God in my life, joy is there. Joy can be present in prison, in sickness, in disaster. Our ability to draw from the wells of salvation is all we need. The will is the bucket used to draw with.
If you really want to ranp it up, start singing. Singing repels the darkness and uncorks joy. I say uncork, as we allow habits, attitudes, and other things to stop it up. Start singing! Amen!
