abiding has benefits

“I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.

Abiding has its benefits. God listens to you.

Moses was a friend of God. God hung out with him daily, He welcomed Moses into an intimate relationship with Him. When Moses prayed: " unless you go with me, I will not go". God listened. He responded and went with Moses in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire at night. This was not just for a few days or perhaps a month. It was for 40 years.

Did Jesus say: " I will never leave you or forsake you"? If He said it, He will do it. No matter what this year holds, He will still be there. Amen!
