no longer I who live
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galatians 2:20 NLT

When Jesus was crucified, He could no longer choose where He would go, He was impaled on a cross. He could not decide to go and visit friends, or eat a meal, He could not lay in bed, He could not go fishing with the boys. He was no longer able to decide, in fact all rights had been taken from Him.
Now, applying this to my life: if agreeing with the above scripture, I am relinquishing rights, comfort, ease and choice. My old life, of going my own way, is buried with Christ. I am now trusting Him for my new life, the resurrected life, in Him. Amen
