sharp

Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17 HCSB

I value  a sharp knife, especially when cutting meat or preparing meals. To keep knives sharp they are constantly sharpened by friction and heat.

A friend who confronts us provides the heat and friction. It is not pleasant but it is necessary. A dull and blunt knife is no value at all. It will be replaced or go through an intense sharpening experience.

God wants His people sharp and is constantly providing the access to sharpening. Trying to avoid friction is wasting energy. Resenting it is much worse. We cannot avoid friction, and live in a bubble.

Welcome friction, it will do you good! Amen!
