eating fruit
21 Life and death are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21 HCSB

Today I did something radical, and used it to speak to a problem in our culture. Two years ago this month a dear friend underwent chemo after surgery for ovarian cancer. She lost all her hair. I had wanted to cut mine off to support her, but didn't, probably due to fear. Last year at this time a neigh our and relative cut her hair off for a cause. I wanted to join her, but didn't. Today I cut my hair off for a cause. My cause was protesting against cover-up, pretence and lies. I wanted my friends to get real in their love they say they have for others. Time will tell if I had an effect. My protester was the seen, I spent time in worship and prayer as I knew this was important to the Lord, that was unseen. In a way I felt like an Old Testament prophet. (As long as I don't start wearing camel hair I will be happy).
I want a revival of heart and minds. Our heart have become hard and insensitive to anything but pleasure. Unfortunately we can assume we are high on God when it is the music or the song or the fact that we are doing something religious. We need to love God with all our hearts, souls and minds and not pleasure. Amen!
