rejoice not complain

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord ! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

There is a terrible mouse plague across rural NSW. Farmers who finally received good rain after a protracted drought are losing their crops to mice. I can imagine, now, what it was like in Egypt when the Lord sent plagues on Egypt for not releasing His people. Whilst those plagues did not last as long as this one, it would have been devastating. We have poisons we can use to rid ourselves of the vermin. As a matter of fact stronger poisons are being released than those currently used.

During the drought farmers had to sell their core stock, nornally used for breeding, due to lack of feed. Since the rain they have restocked only to lose their feed to mice. Imagine the heartache they will be experiencing.

Our world is going through some very rough times, the disaster are continual, and as well the COVID virus is elusive. India was one of the most successful producers of vaccine yet they are caught in a second wave of the disease and are in a losing battle.

We can look at all the disasters and threats of war, of which there are many, or look to the Lord. What is He up to? How can we work with Him? His ways are higher than ours, lets discover them! Amen!
