first forgive

22 Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God. 23 I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. 24 I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. 25 But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.” Mark 11:22‭-‬25 NLT

Did you see the caveat? The special condition to receiving is forgiveness to anyone you are holding a grudge against. Anyone!

Unforgiveness, prideful judgement against another, criticism publicly, all show a fleshly reaction to another whom God loves,  and He does not respect it. They all assume greater favour than that which may be upon another, and is pride.

Therefore, to know how to see miracles watch Jesus. He had cursed a fig tree on the way to Jerusalem, gone into the temple and whipped the money lenders for doing business in the Gentile's court and returned by the fig tree, which had now withered.

How did Jesus whip money lenders and remain pure in heart? There is the challenge! Perhaps His whip had two cords: justice and mercy. Justice for the Gentiles and mercy for the money lenders?

Now we know our challenge. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
