God breathed

But don’t let it faze you. Stick with what you learned and believed, sure of the integrity of your teachers—why, you took in the sacred Scriptures with your mother’s milk! There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Today I was sent a dramatic prophesy. The first thing a prophesy must line up with is God's word. Thr next thing I wanted to know: who is this person and what are her credentials, who is her head and what support does she have? The third thing I wanted to know is what is God saying to me through this?

Back in 1998, or thereabouts, I had a vision that lined up with this prophesy, recently I have been led to pray along the lines of this prophesy, and my spirit agrees with the spirit of the message. Now I wait and pray and see God in the midst of it all.

God's words, through the scripture and prophesy are God breathed.  They are full of His essence. This is lovely. He is very present in His word. How good to have His word. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
