faith speaks

Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1 NLT

God, our Father, is our example to follow. And God said, and it was. Our confession is a tool for the working of faith or fear. Faith refuses to confess fear, fear is the intruder and wants to control our lives. If we say what God is speaking to our hearts, then we build a platform for faith. If we say what the word of God says, we fuel our faith and bring the promise to being.

Let us consider the word to Mary about being the mother of Jesus:
Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.” The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God. What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and is now in her sixth month. For the word of God will never fail.”
Luke 1:34‭-‬37

Not only did the angel answer Mary's questions, he added new knowledge about the miracle Mary's cousin Elizabeth was experiencing.  This fuled her faith and made her realise that God was active in both of their lives.

The angel did not sympathise with Mary. He spoke the word and it was so.

As the children of God we can also speak the word, and it will be so. Amen!
