If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. James 1:5 NLT

Two gifts of the Spirit are: words of knowledge and words of wisdom. The book of proverbs talks a lot about wisdom and where it is found. No guru has it,social media rarely has it and movies definitely do not have it. Last night I watch a Loki Marvel Movie. I know my grandchildren watch Marvel and I need to stay in touch.

Loki made what seemed to be a profound comment, but it wasn't. He said: "no one is truely good and no one is truely bad". On the surface, he is right, but he does not know about the God factor. Throughout the sequels Loki was searching for the mastermind who was controlling the timeline. He accused the man, when he found him, of lying and being a manipulator.  Loki had a female version of himself along. She wanted to kill the overlord, he didn't,  as experience had started to kick in. The female deceives Loki and pushes him through a time portal, then kills the overlord. Chaos ensues.

Back to Loki's comment. Jesus was told He was good, and he said, "only God is good". So now we know God is good. Also, Jesus told his disciples the Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44). Satan is all bad, there is no good in him. We are variants of both, depending on who we empower to be Lord of our lives. A fruit of the Spirit is goodness. This is evidence that God is in control. Fruits of the flesh are anger, hate, rivalry, dissensions, immorality, envy, drunkenness. All bad! The other guy is definitely in control.

We, the prize, must choose wisely who will rule. If we think neither, I will, then automatically we have slid to the dark side.  Satan said, "I will ascend to the hill of the Lord,  I will establish my throne in the North above the most high(Isaiah 14).

We know where he rules now, down below and his destiny in a lake of fire. I guess you could say being determined to rule ends up in smoke.
