God's plan

The Lord does not delay His promises, as some understand delay, but is patient with you, not wanting any to perish but all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

In the verses prior to this Peter was writing about the end of all things and the destruction of ungodly men. How does God's patience with the ungodly affect me? Perhaps I have a role? I know I must pray and share my faith with those who do not know Him. Is there more?

The way to know the more is to ask the Holy Spirit for His more. What role would He have me in place for this year? I am a representative of Christ. How would He impact my world?

Yesterday I spent 5 hours with some ladies who did not know the Lord. We were playing some board games, talking, and eating. They were lovely ladies and I pray my God's love on them. They were gracious, patient and kind. How can I bring God's love to them?

I know I must be adventurous and go, not choosing reticence and being lazy. It is so easy to not bother, to seek comfort, but that is not why I am here. I am here to be a light. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
