What a day! I did go kayaking, and it was great. Met a few friends there and had good conversation. On the way home my friend who was driving tried  new road, not good, it was blocked. We went to have dinner on the way home at a lovely pub. No room in the inn. When we made it to mobile reception I discocered my dog had escaped whilst I was away and a atranger had him. As we neared home a powerful storm hit and the kayak fell off the truck. Praise God no other cars were impacted, the kayak survived and although we had to put it back on the truck in torrential rain, we did. We were soaked through. My friend had an idea on how to find my dog, and we did. A hot shower,  a warm meal, and a game fixed everything.

Arrived home and my garage opener did not work. I had to knock on neighbour's door to help me break in, and we did.

Praise God! What an adventure! I won the game as well! I am blessed!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
