beaten for me

But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. Isaiah 53:5 NLT

Today I served tea and coffee in a Scripture Union tent with a whole lot of other Christians.  It is Country Music time here in Tamworth NSW, and every year it is celebrated Scripture Union is there to serve the community and love people. Several men and women mingled and shared Christ.  One young man came to us in tears. He had just broken up with his girl. I made him a coffee, and the men ministered to him. Another young man came along, obviously a little drunk. The team still ministered. I was honoured to be with such loving people.

We can do this because Jesus set us free. We are able to open our hearts to the lost because we once were lost also.

Jesus paid our debt and set us free. Amen!
