God breathed

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16‭-‬17 NLT

I love scripture! It definitely has God's breath on it. As I make myself open to hear, it speaks to me. As it speaks it bring truth, deliverance, truth, healing and new focus. I understand why those who live is worlds that refuse them the bible long for it. It is spirit-food.

Hebrews 4:12 says: 'God's word is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing through bone and marrow, spirit and flesh. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires'.

If we do not want our hearts exposed, we avoid reading our bible. However, this is tantamount to not taking life-saving medicine. It is foolishness.

Stay in the word! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
