on guard

Our thinking can so affect our heart. Disappointments with others can make us want to move on. Sometimes this is right, other times not. Therefore, it is good to have God's perspective on things.

My disappointments come when I go out on a limb for people,  and they turn on me or use me unkindly. This is when I want to move on. I am there right now, so I am also praying for guidance.

The Lord has to deal with this from us forever, yet He copes. I am constantly amazed at His grace,  it seems so effortless. Yet, we know it is coated with the blood of Jesus. In the Old Testament God was more like me (a little), except I have never been perfect like Him. Now, I am washed in the blood of Jesus. His perfection is mine. Praise Him!

So, others are washed in the same blood. Give me eyes to see Lord! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
