God is working

For it is God who is working in you, enabling you both to desire and to work out His good purpose. Philippians 2:13 HCSB

Praise God! For a while there I thought I was missing God's path. Lately it has been very quiet,  the Lord is not speaking to me like He has in the past. I sense I am waiting in the outer office for an interview.  I know God has a plan and He is up to something. Something new is about to happen.

However, I am spending more time in the word, in prayer, in worship, waiting. It is as if I am a huge event, the crowd is here and we are waiting for the players to emerge. I wonder if this is what it is like for the cloud of witnesses in heaven.

Therefore, since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that lay before Him endured a cross and despised the shame and has sat down at the right hand of God’s throne. Hebrews 12:1‭-‬2 
Or is it like:
When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. Then I saw the seven angels who stand in the presence of God; seven trumpets were given to them.

God is about to do something! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
