“This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad. All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.”
1 Corinthians 12:25-27 NLT
Today I had a visit from a dear friend who had been disappointed by the church. She had served faithfully , but when she really needed support, none was given.
This story does not sound like what we want church to sound like, yet it happens. She left that church and went to another, there she has found support.
I talked to her about disappointment and the importance of forgiving and letting go. She agreed with me. I told some of my stories, and how I discovered that disappointment is like a stone. I give my stones to the Lord as raw material. He worked well with dirt, I am sure He is also good with stones. Amen!
