“Give us today the food we need,”
Matthew 6:11 NLT
We can trust our God to give us what we need each day. It is when we look beyond this day that we become anxious. Jesus said, “do not be anxious about tomorrow for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. But seek first the kingdom of God” (Matt 6:34). Here we see two instructions: 1) don’t be anxious about tomorrow; 2) seek first the kingdom of God.
As we have an avenue to pray for the provision needed today, let us pray expecting a good supply. If we allow God to be our protector, He will take care of the troubles and also He will provide. Our role is to seek what God is doing in this day. We have a vital part to play: we are the hands and feet of the gospel. Amen!
