Compassion

“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭103‬:‭13‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, Proverbs 1:7 tells us. The fear of the Lord involves awe, reverence, love and trust (Holman Study Bible commentary). Do I trust the Lord today? I must!

Launching out into the unknown and selling all, and yesterday giving away my dog has been a big ALL. Emotionally it costs. What am I purchasing? Obedience? I am reminded of the greatest sacrifice: Jesus choosing to obey the Father and go to the cross. He struggled with it, just as I am, but He faithfully completed the task.

The Father had compassion on Jesus, I am sure He has compassion on me. I must trust Him for the outcome. The outcome for Jesus was huge. He defeated sin and the grave. He won many sons into obedience, for all time we have a way to the Father.
The outcome for me, I trudt is huge. I pray many souls will come to know Jesus.

Compassion does not equate with release of obedience, it is the completion. Amen!
