Loving each other

“Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.”1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Loving each other requires diligence, forebearance, kindness, gentleness, self-control. Notice most of these attributes and fruit of the Holy Spirt. Therefore, to produce these fruit we need to abide in the vine, because as we do, as Jesus had promised, the Father and He would fellowship with us, not to mention the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, “bad trees produce bad fruit, and good trees produce good fruit”(Matt 7:18).

I am constantly aware of what others are receiving from me and try to present what I have to say in a way they can receive, except when boldness takes over. Then, I can be trouble to myself and others. I must remind myself the ability to receive is our own responsibility, however, kindness does help.

When I love others I allow them to be who they are and be who I am in Christ. It is who I am in Christ that makes the difference. I am His workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works (Ephesians 2:10). Self injures, Christ in me heals. Amen!
