“So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.”2 Corinthians 4:18 NLT
I am in Nepal and taking a few days to recover from a cold virus. I have a friend who has been here since February. He likes to chat but his conversation is focussed on problems rather than on answers. I find when I gently probe those problems with truth he becomes defensive.
If we defend our problems instead of God’s truth we are in trouble. Our God is the source of all answers. How I feel at present and what God has for me to do here both are a problem to solve. However, if I seek Him He has the best solutions and answers.
I must be willing to lay down my opinions and seek God. He has the best solutions. He has the future in His hands and I can trust Him.
God always provides for my needs. If I mismanage what He provides I will go hungry and become homeless. He has principles for me to live by. They are good, solid principles that I can trust. Amen!
