“The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!”
Luke 2:11 NLT
There are so many disasters happening all over the world and there is a desperate need for a saviour. Many expect government or relief agencies to assist. In many countries there is the knowledge that no one will assist.
The angels came to lowly shepherds with the good news that ‘the saviour’ had been born. As they sat out in the fields around a camp fire talking about… possibly wondering when the saviour would come, the angels came with the news, “He is born!”
Imagine talking among yourselves and wondering if God had gone to sleep or away as He had not spoken for over four hundred years and suddenly His messengers came. The scripture says they were terrified. We experience terror when what we thought was private becomes public, especially when we doubted God.
We may doubt that God hears us and is interested in us, but He is and He does. What is He saying to you at this time? Is He saying, “others may have forgotten you, but I am still here watching over you”.
Don’t expect Christmas to be a construct of your making, allow God to give you His best! Amen!
