Eternal life

“God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him.” 1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Does anyone think about eternal life? Some do, not all. Life has a habit of preoccupying us until desth knocks. When death stares us in the face we want to be sure that ‘the man upstairs’ and us are on good terms. I wonder what you consider as good terms are His?

Firstly, we must be born again. This happens as we confess our sins, ask forgiveness and ask Jesus to be our Lord.
Secondly, we must live through faith in what Jesus has done. It ai not about my goodness, as it stinks. It must be His.
Thirdly, we must allow the Holy Spirit to be our guide and submit it to His leading.

The Bible tells us that heaven is our home. This is where we are headed for all eternity, if we are His. Eternity is forever! Can you grasp forever? No! Neither can I! 

Glory to His name! Glory to His name!

My Father's House

After three days, they found Him in the temple complex sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all those who heard Him were astounded at His understanding and His answers. Luke 2:46,47 Jesus was 12. His parents had brought Him to Jerusalem for the festival but Jesus failed to return with them. When they finally found Him, after frantically searching for Him and had rebuked Him, He said, " didn't you know I had to be in My Father's house?" Jesus knew the importance of being in His Father's house and He was the Messiah, what does that mean to me? I love being in church. Yesterday my church hosted the feeding of 950 runners in my home town. I was there in the thick of it but could not wait to go to church and worship last night. Since I was a little girl I have been fascinated with my Father's house, and this was when I was searching for Him. I did not find Him as my personal saviour until I was 19. Keep Watch

Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts. Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth; avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip. Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions. Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smooth before you. Look neither right nor left; leave evil in the dust. Proverbs 4:23‭-‬27 MSG https://bible.com/bible/97/pro.4.23-27.MSG Eyes straight! Jesus taught to keep our eyes on Him. When we drive down the road we must focus straight ahead. Myself, I tend to drive where I look and therefore cannot afford to look to the right or left. This is the same in life. There are times of extreme stress when we are surrounded by problems and drama. It is important, at such times, that we control our thoughts and focus on what is ahead. By focussing on Jesus we contain our thoughts in a zone that already is successful. This is also called walking by faith in the Son of God. We can trust Him! Amen!
