A new heart

“And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭36‬:‭26‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Whilst this prophetic word was spoken to Israel, and speaks of a time in the mellennium, when Jesus will return to earth, it also applies to an encounter with Him now.

A new heart is exactly what He gave me, a heart to love and obey Him. In the born again experience this transformation takes place just as soon as I confessed my sin, asked forgiveness for my sin and asked Jesus to come and live in my heart. His Holy Spirit came in and now resides there.

This transformation was an act of grace on His part and faith on mine. Jesus loves us so much He had already paid the price for our freedom from sin and the gift of eternal life. I can trust in this!

I can , by faith, live out of that new heart. It loves Jesus and it loves others. Amen!

My Father's House

After three days, they found Him in the temple complex sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all those who heard Him were astounded at His understanding and His answers. Luke 2:46,47 Jesus was 12. His parents had brought Him to Jerusalem for the festival but Jesus failed to return with them. When they finally found Him, after frantically searching for Him and had rebuked Him, He said, " didn't you know I had to be in My Father's house?" Jesus knew the importance of being in His Father's house and He was the Messiah, what does that mean to me? I love being in church. Yesterday my church hosted the feeding of 950 runners in my home town. I was there in the thick of it but could not wait to go to church and worship last night. Keep Watch

Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts. Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth; avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip. Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions. Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smooth before you. Look neither right nor left; leave evil in the dust. Proverbs 4:23‭-‬27 MSG https://bible.com/bible/97/pro.4.23-27.MSG Eyes straight! Jesus taught to keep our eyes on Him. When we drive down the road we must focus straight ahead. Myself, I tend to drive where I look and therefore cannot afford to look to the right or left. This is the same in life. There are times of extreme stress when we are surrounded by problems and drama. It is important, at such times, that we control our thoughts and focus on what is ahead. By focussing on Jesus we contain our thoughts in a zone that already is successful. This is also called walking by faith in the Son of God. We can trust Him! Amen!
