Calling out

“For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The first to call upon the name of the Lord was the thief on the cross. For him to do this he would have had a revelation that Jesus was who He said He was, the Son of God. He said, “Jesus remember me when you come into your kingdom!” And Jesus replied, “today you will be with me in paradise!” (Luke 23:42,43).

The thief was not a godly person, had not sat at Jesus’ feet, was not a disciple, he saw and believed. There will be many unchurched in heaven. Beside all the aborted babies who grow up there, there will be many who have such a conversion at death, then the rest of us.

The heart of God the Father is that none be lost, He is forever reaching out. Let us be likewise! Amen!

My Father's House

After three days, they found Him in the temple complex sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all those who heard Him were astounded at His understanding and His answers. Luke 2:46,47 Jesus was 12. His parents had brought Him to Jerusalem for the festival but Jesus failed to return with them. When they finally found Him, after frantically searching for Him and had rebuked Him, He said, " didn't you know I had to be in My Father's house?" Jesus knew the importance of being in His Father's house and He was the Messiah, what does that mean to me? I love being in church. Yesterday my church hosted the feeding of 950 runners in my home town. I was there in the thick of it but could not wait to go to church and worship last night. Since I was a little girl I have been fascinated with my Father's house, and this was when I was searching for Him. I did not find Him as my personal saviour until I was 19. Keep Watch

Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts. Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth; avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip. Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions. Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smooth before you. Look neither right nor left; leave evil in the dust. Proverbs 4:23‭-‬27 MSG https://bible.com/bible/97/pro.4.23-27.MSG Eyes straight! Jesus taught to keep our eyes on Him. When we drive down the road we must focus straight ahead. Myself, I tend to drive where I look and therefore cannot afford to look to the right or left. This is the same in life. There are times of extreme stress when we are surrounded by problems and drama. It is important, at such times, that we control our thoughts and focus on what is ahead. By focussing on Jesus we contain our thoughts in a zone that already is successful. This is also called walking by faith in the Son of God. We can trust Him! Amen!
