Good News

“And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.”Mark‬ ‭16‬:‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What do we classify as ‘good news’? A clean medical report? A financial win? A successful bid on a house? 

I think the best new I ever had was Jesus forgave me my sins and wanted me to walk with Him through life, in other words, He wanted a close relationship with me. I remember the night this happened like yesterday. I am still grateful! I woke the next morning and danced to work. I was sooo happy!

Whoever asked why I was happy heard my ‘good news’. 

Today I must carry the same joy with me so that whoever asks is told the story, ‘Jesus set me free!’

We want to tell others about our good news. Go armed and ready! Amen! Put on joy!

My Father's House

After three days, they found Him in the temple complex sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. And all those who heard Him were astounded at His understanding and His answers. Luke 2:46,47 Jesus was 12. His parents had brought Him to Jerusalem for the festival but Jesus failed to return with them. When they finally found Him, after frantically searching for Him and had rebuked Him, He said, " didn't you know I had to be in My Father's house?" Jesus knew the importance of being in His Father's house and He was the Messiah, what does that mean to me? I love being in church. Yesterday my church hosted the feeding of 950 runners in my home town. I was there in the thick of it but could not wait to go to church and worship last night. Since I was a little girl I have been fascinated with my Father's house, and this was when I was searching for Him. I did not find Him as my personal saviour until I was 19. Keep Watch

Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts. Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth; avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip. Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions. Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smooth before you. Look neither right nor left; leave evil in the dust. Proverbs 4:23‭-‬27 MSG https://bible.com/bible/97/pro.4.23-27.MSG Eyes straight! Jesus taught to keep our eyes on Him. When we drive down the road we must focus straight ahead. Myself, I tend to drive where I look and therefore cannot afford to look to the right or left. This is the same in life. There are times of extreme stress when we are surrounded by problems and drama. It is important, at such times, that we control our thoughts and focus on what is ahead. By focussing on Jesus we contain our thoughts in a zone that already is successful. This is also called walking by faith in the Son of God. We can trust Him! Amen!
