Clothe yourself

“Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We, God’s people cannot run in impatience and attempt to bully our way through problems we face. Anxiety causes us to bully others to obtain the outcome we desire. Have we ever stopped to think, ‘perhaps God has a better plan?’ Anxiety causes us to be fearful and bully.

If me times are in His hands then surely I can leave them there and not push people around for what I want or what I perceive is the right solution for a problem?

Today I must talk with my bank again. I have been trying to obtain statements from a closed credit card for weeks now. My accountant is waiting on them. Yesterday a young man from the bank called whilst I was on a boat cruise. It was very noisy and he offered to call back this morning. I pray we are able to sort this problem out without impatience and aggression.

Father I ask for Your help to be clothed with love and grace today as I face this problem again! Amen!

Power to live a godly life

“By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have His divine power to overcome. You might say, ‘But I don’t feel any different! So, since when does how you feel dictate the powers ability to help. If you believe you have it and step into it, you have it! For the longest time I have had a battle with a particular temptation and most times lost, because I tried to beat the feeling. No surrender to fear

““Don’t worry or surrender to your fear. For you’ve believed in God, now trust and believe in me also.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭1‬ ‭TPT‬‬ Yesterday tens of thousands of youth stormed Parliament House here in Nepal. It has been reported that 20 were killed and hundreds were injured. I had stayed away from the area believing it to be unsafe and it was. Today, now that young people have been killed, there will be a greater strife brought about by parents of those who went to the protest. Milling children is never a good idea. Nepal has had a long history of strife. It has a civil war that lasted 10 years not so long back. Corruption fills the government and the people are not happy. However, underneath there are lovely human beings who need salvation. As in any race of people, there are people who have needs. I cannot be afraid of the uprest. I have a God who is the master of peace. He is good! I must trust Him. Amen!
