More than I could ask or think

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.”Ephesians‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This blesses me! I can trust the Lord to accomplish great things in and through me.

Yesterday I travelled to Amsterdam on a plane and then found my way to the train. I prayed for God’s help. I enetered the trains dns at down next to a young woman. We talked and I discovered she was going where I was going. How amazing is that!

We alighted at the correct station and she used her directions to take us to our accomodation, a women’s only hostel.  This place is unusual as there are no men, and that is good. On the train there were two young men and they were captured with my travel companion. 

The hostel is bright and beautiful, clean and safe. I saw a few older women but none my age. I received the key and went and deposited my luggage and then went grocery shopping. I always enjoy grocery stores in different countries. They are all different, this one did not disappoint.

Today I take a tour of The Hague, Delft and Rotterdam. I have to find my way to the bus near Central Station. I have a problem with my ticket provider. It is not working as it should. Fortunately I can use my debit card if stuck.

Lord use me today! Amen!

No surrender to fear

““Don’t worry or surrender to your fear. For you’ve believed in God, now trust and believe in me also.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭1‬ ‭TPT‬‬ Yesterday tens of thousands of youth stormed Parliament House here in Nepal. It has been reported that 20 were killed and hundreds were injured. I had stayed away from the area believing it to be unsafe and it was. Today, now that young people have been killed, there will be a greater strife brought about by parents of those who went to the protest. Milling children is never a good idea. Nepal has had a long history of strife. It has a civil war that lasted 10 years not so long back. Corruption fills the government and the people are not happy. However, underneath there are lovely human beings who need salvation. As in any race of people, there are people who have needs. I cannot be afraid of the uprest. I have a God who is the master of peace. He is good! I must trust Him. Amen!

Guard your heart

“So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life.” Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭23‬ ‭TPT‬‬ I want to focus on the last sentence here, because it is explains why the first. I have an old friend who used to say to me, “Di let peace be your governor”. It was easier said than done. I was going through some very difficult times when he told me that. However, he was right. Yesterday was a difficult day in part. I had determined to give my body a day of rest. I walked several kilometres to church and attended the prayer meeting. Unfortunately, after the prayer meeting I was best by refugees wanting my help. It became very frustrating and by the time the service started my insides were a mess.
