More than…

On my journey to Denmark I have left behind things, intentionally but also not intentionally. At my sons house in Brisbane I left winter clothes. In Cairns I left my neck pillow that I used on the planes. In Dubai I left my toiletries. Today as ai fly to Denmark I am considering leaving art supplies which kept me occupied in Cairns.

I am only allowed 7kg of onboard luggage and I have 13. I am praying for a miracle. I am not sure what will unfold. We will see.

Suffice to say I am having to not worry about what I will wear to the wedding and how I will present myself without toiletries.

My God has gone beofre me and gave me a safe pass through the Strait of Hormuz. It was so interesting to be only 36km from Iran and the distress it is causing in the region. To an Australian 36km is nothing. Yet peace reigned at the airport in Dubai.

It is now 4am in the UK. I have travelled through several time zones but here I am ready to go again.

I wonder what the Lord has planned for me!

Power to live a godly life

“By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.” 2 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Do you ever think, ‘I can’t be good today!’ ‘I don’t have the power to beat this temptation!’ Then you are wrong as Peter tells us above. We have His divine power to overcome. You might say, ‘But I don’t feel any different! So, since when does how you feel dictate the powers ability to help. If you believe you have it and step into it, you have it! For the longest time I have had a battle with a particular temptation and most times lost, because I tried to beat the feeling. However, I’ve discovered the battle is in my mind not my flesh. There have been many books written about the mind being the battlefield. Joyce Meyer wrote a good one: Battlefield of the Mind. No surrender to fear

““Don’t worry or surrender to your fear. For you’ve believed in God, now trust and believe in me also.” ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭1‬ ‭TPT‬‬ Yesterday tens of thousands of youth stormed Parliament House here in Nepal. It has been reported that 20 were killed and hundreds were injured. I had stayed away from the area believing it to be unsafe and it was. Today, now that young people have been killed, there will be a greater strife brought about by parents of those who went to the protest. Milling children is never a good idea. Nepal has had a long history of strife. It has a civil war that lasted 10 years not so long back. Corruption fills the government and the people are not happy. However, underneath there are lovely human beings who need salvation. As in any race of people, there are people who have needs. I cannot be afraid of the uprest. I have a God who is the master of peace. He is good! I must trust Him. Amen!
