Wisdom?

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the LORD and turn away from evil. Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

We will have many ideas and discover many useful tools to form those ideas but the true wisdom and strength comes from the Lord.

I recently used AI to put together a business idea. I found AI very informative but was warned to check everything by an IT friend of mine. On checking facts I discovered AI had left out inportant information which was a deciding factor in which model to take.

I have noticed, recently, that UTube has changed and so has Facebook. They have an uncomfortable feel about them. It is as if it no longer is people sharing their ideas but all about a master knowledge source.

Yesterday I listened to a young man tell of a dream he had about AI taking over his life. In the dream AI told him he belonged to it now, he was no longer independent. Even AI producers do not fully know how to control their beast. We must be very careful!

Last night I watch Craig Groeschel interview Carey Nieuwhof. Carey had written a book on AI. The interview was worth watching. We must be wise and informed and constantly seeking the Lord for His wisdom. Amen!

Doing to others

““Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.” Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬ This verse, in some bibles begins with a ‘therefore’ and comes after verses describing how God the Father gives good gifts to His children.  It infers generosity towards others. God is our example. Forgiveness must be the centre of our attitude. If it is at the centre then annoyance and offence at others is overridden with generosity. It is also the centre when Jesus also teaches: if a man demands your shirt, give him your cloak also ( Matt 5:40). To be able to behave like this you must be secure in God. He is your source and supply. Amen.

Guard your heart

“So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life.” Proverbs‬ ‭4‬:‭23‬ ‭TPT‬‬ I want to focus on the last sentence here, because it is explains why the first. I have an old friend who used to say to me, “Di let peace be your governor”. It was easier said than done. I was going through some very difficult times when he told me that. However, he was right. Yesterday was a difficult day in part. I had determined to give my body a day of rest. I walked several kilometres to church and attended the prayer meeting. Unfortunately, after the prayer meeting I was best by refugees wanting my help. It became very frustrating and by the time the service started my insides were a mess. Afterwards I knew I should have waited until after church to talk to them and I should have places boundaries in place. Even though I do not represent all the refugees they see me and c...

Christ is enough

“For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬ In the book of Galatians Paul is addressing religiosity. The Galatians are being deceived into following a doctrine that tells them they must be circumcised as well as receiving Christ.  It is interesting that when people become convinced to be religious they then start destroying one another. Self-righteousness has that effect. We start to believe ‘I am so good, you are less than me because you do not do what I do!’ Paul’s whole message is Christ is enough! In Him is all the freedom we need. There is nothing more I can do to be a Christian. I must follow Him! Amen! Christ is enough for me!
