Look! He is Coming!

Look! He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, including those who pierced Him. And all the families of the earth will mourn over Him. This is certain. Amen. “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “the One who is, who was, and who is coming, the Almighty.”

Verse 7 is a compilation of Daniel 7:13 and Zechariah 12:10. A popular song in the last few years was made from Daniel 13 and 14:

I continued watching in the night visions, and I saw One like a son of man coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was escorted before Him. He was given authority to rule, and glory, and a kingdom; so that those of every people, nation, and language should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and His kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.

I love this scripture as it reminds me of the majesty of Jesus. He is glorious to behold! No-one is like Him and He is greater than all else. No matter what men say about Him, He is who He says He is and is honoured by God Almighty.

I am involved with a bunch of scientists in my astronomy club. I know over the years science has attempted to dismiss creation by God yet no matter how clever we are we must still stand before Christ on Judgement Day and bow our knees. The ultimate test and ultimate finish is coming! Amen!
