Inspired Scripture

All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16‭-‬17 HCSB

Timothy, the young pastor is being taught by his mentor Paul. The whole chapter deals with the reality of godlessness in those who refuse Christ and the deceit in those who claim Him but are deceivers.

I could imagine this could be a response from a letter from Timothy decrying the awful realities of the task at hand. Few people will walk in the whole truth of scripture. Yet Paul is encouraging Timothy to rely on the inspired word of God. We must remember Timothy only had the Old Testament. How blessed are we to be able to feast on all of the New Testament.

When we choose to believe scripture and walk in it we find its power. It has power to save, to heal and to make whole. Amen!
