Home

“But Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.”Ruth‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Many people find home to be a place far away from their birthplace. Some leave because of oppression, some for economic reasons and some to serve the Lord. Finding a new family in a foreign land has its struggles, however, finding home in God is peaceful and satisfying.

Ruth found a new home in Israel with her mother in law Naomi. Eventually she marries Boaz and raises a family. Boaz was an older man, but a godly man. We are not told what her first husband was like other than he died in Moab. Ruth went from poverty to having her own home. She learned the Jewish religion and made their God her God.

When we come to Christ we give up our idolatry (usually self worship) and learn to worship the living God. Living in His kingdom is life and joy as opposed to living without Him.we have come home. Amen!
