The returning king

“Yes,’ the king replied, ‘and to those who use well what they are given, even more will be given. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.”Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭26‬ ‭NLT‬‬

This verse comes from the parable Jesus told about the delay in the coming of the kingdom of God. It is interesting that the ten servants the king gave money to differed in ability. To the first he gained 10 times the amount given, the next gained 5 times the amount he was given, and  the next buried it in the ground, fearful of his master, who he deemed a harsh master, some servants did not want him to be their king and presumably did nothing or even spent it on themselves.

We see a harsh judgement metered out on the fearful servant and those who rejected him; what he had was taken away and given tor the first and those who did not want him to be their king were executed beofre him.

When the Lord returns He will be looking for a return on all He has given us. What have we done with it? Did we take it and reject His Lordship, did we take it and bury it, or did we use it wisely for His glory? Amen
