Immortality

Listen? I am telling you a mystery:

We will not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed,

In a moment, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet.

For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible,

And we will be changed.

For this corruptible must be clothed with incorruptibility,

And this mortal must be clothed with immortality.

When the corruptible is clothed With incorruptibility,

And this mortal is clothed with immortality,

Then the saying that is written must take place:

Death has been swallowed up in victory.

Death where is your victory?

Death where is your sting?

Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Chris! 1 Cor 15:51-57

Isaiah wrote the verse: death has been swallowed up in victory. He looked down through time and foretold the day when death's power would be no more in Is 25:8.

There is a group of people who will experience the second coming and will not die but be caught up in the clouds with Christ. It could be in our time. Paul thought it would happen in His.

The final enemy to be placed under the feet of Christ is death. Imagine, no more death. Awesome!

Death is a part of the curse and Christ ransomed us from the power of the curse, however we all face death yet can have victory in all other areas.

We will all be cloathed with a new body: an incorruptible one, a body that does not age and become sick or die. As to what that body looks like we do not know, but it must be great to last forever, it will be immortal. Amen!
