The Truth is The Truth!

For I passed on to you as most important what I also received:
That Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures,
That He was buried,
That He was raised on the third day according to the scriptures,
That He appeared to Cephas,
Then to the twelve, then He appeared to over 500 brothers at one time,
Most of them still alive, but some have fallen asleep.
Then He appeared to James,
Then to all the apostles,
Last of all, as to one abnormally born,
He also appeared to me. 1 Cor 15:3-8

Paul was needing to give a lesson on fact. Some heresy had begun that denied the resurrection from the dead of Christ. It never ceases to amaze me how arm chair critics can size up a situation and judge it from their unholy platform and choose to deny the fact in favour of their carnal estimation.

We recently had a terrifying occurrence in Sydney were a crazed Iranian held up a coffee shop and ended up killing two people before he himself was killed. Yet social media was full of judgements about how the matter was handled. Yes we do this!

This is precisely what the Corinthians were doing to the gospel. They were not first hand witnesses but chose to judge Jesus' resurrection from the dead. In their puffed up estimation it could not be true so they decided it wasn't.

The resurrection is a part of the salvation message. If Jesus only died where is the power to live a changed life. Perhaps the fact that they must change caused them to create this doctrine. Dangerous!

Don't try and bend the facts to suit your sin. The facts are the facts and God is God, without our benediction. Amen'
