Foolish?

I repeat: no one should consider me a fool, so I too may boast a little. What I say in this matter of boasting, I don't speak as the lord would, but foolishly. Since many boast in an unspiritual way, I will also boast. For you, being so wise, gladly will put up with fools! In fact, you put up with it if someone enslaves you, if someon devours you, if someone captures you, if someone dominates you, or if someone hits you in the face. I say this to our shame, we have been weak.  2 Cor 11:16-21

Paul is being human here. This blesses me. Throughout this chapter Paul defends himself, tells about the amount of sufferings he has had to endure. In verse 30 he says: 'if boasting is necessary, I will boast about my weakness.'

This chapter does me good. I am passionate and consistent in my faith but also as a visionary am a dreamer of what could be. I could be accused of trying many things and failing to complete. Yet I am grateful I tried and discovered something, either about myself or others. In the important things I have been consistent and endured.

Paul could be accused of being a helpless individual because of all the beatings and shipwrecks he endured. So called clever people accuse easily but never try.

I am grateful for Paul being human in this chapter. Thank you  Paul. Thank You Lord for choosing Paul. Amen!
