Flesh and Spirit

For those who live according to the flesh think about the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, about the things of the Spirit. For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set of the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind-set of the flesh is hostile to God because it does not submit itself to God’s law, for it is unable to do so. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, since the Spirit of God lives in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
Romans 8:5‭-‬9 HCSB

We can divide the world up into: those who do not have the Spirit of God and do not know Him; and those who have His holy Spirit residing in them. When we come to know Him we are liberated from the law of the flesh, the law of sin and death.

The war rages between flesh and Spirit. Flesh is noisy, abusive, arrogant and frustrated where Spirit is quiet and peaceful knowing: He's got this! We can trust our God to come through and win the day. Amen!

Knowing my God has got this does not mean I do nothing, there are times I must press in and pray and pray with intercession for those caught away from Him. I partner with Him in a situation. For example when disaster strikes I can pray for mercy; when violence errupts I can pray and ask for forgiveness. I am a part of the humanity that is struggling and as such can intercede on our corporate behalf.

We partner with the Spirit of God but walk in His peace. Amen!
