Flesh versus Spirit

I say then, walk by the Spirit and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is against the Spirit, and the Spirit desires what is against the flesh; these are opposed to each other, so that you don’t do what you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, moral impurity, promiscuity, idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I tell you about these things in advance — as I told you before — that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Galatians 5:16‭-‬21 HCSB

The flesh is a nasty beast, whereas walking in the Spirit, as we discovered this morning, is life and peace.

We are seeing the working of the flesh more so now than ever before. All manner of vile behaviour is in practice and if good men do not stand up, it will win.

I have read many books and watched many historical documentaries but nothing is better than the bible. When God is involved there is life. Only the Spirit gives life. The flesh brings death.

Take heed of the admonition: those who practice such things (The works of the flesh) will not inherit the kingdom of God. We cannot manipulate and seek to control God and others and inherit eternal life. We must choose who will be Lord. If Christ and His Holy Spirit rules, life rules: if I rule, flesh and death rules. Simple! Choose life and live! Amen!
