ALL My Heart

I will thank Yahweh with all my heart; I will declare all Your wonderful works. I will rejoice and boast about You; I will sing about Your name, Most High.

If I am to thank God with ALL my heart then I need to fix things that mess up my heart. For me unsolved conflict with others can leave a bitter taste and I know where my heart stands with others as I talk about them. Does bitterness gush forth or grace?

Today I am convicted to fill my heart with grace. For then I can love the Lord with my whole heart, there will be no bad bits on offer. Jesus told us the two greatest commands were: love the Lord with all my heart, soul and mind and love others as myself.

We all know we think favourably towards ourselves and cut ourselves more slack than we do others. This is a good place to start. Love others as I love myself. I will need the Holy Spirit's help here.

Then I can declare God's wonderful works and thank Him with ALL my heart. Amen!
