Being Perfect

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, For if you love those who love you, what reward will you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing out of the ordinary? Don’t even the Gentiles do the same? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.

Ouch! Now, the challenge is to do different to what we see and are used to.

How do we love our enemies? Forgive them, heap grace on them and pray for them. Speak well of them, now, there's the rub! Speaking well of our enemies is probably the biggest challenge. Lord have mercy!

I am sitting outside in the yard waiting for meteors to arrive and so far all I can see are satellites. Sometimes all we see is junk when we are looking for God's best. Sometimes it takes determined effort to see Him. Keep trying! Amen!
