You are Chosen

Now listen: You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will call His name Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
Luke 1:31‭-‬32 HCSB

These words were spoken to Mary before she became pregnant. Her worst nightmare was about to begin, she was to be a part of God's plan of redemption, yet many sorrows would pierce her heart.

We are told in scripture that Jesus learned obedience through what He suffered. Did Mary watch Him suffer as He
grew up through childhood; puberty; adulthood? Learning to obey to the point of death takes training and God trained His Son. What did He use to train Him?

Mary now has the glory of being the mother of God; Jesus now has the glory of being the Saviour of mankind but suffering was a big part of that.

What are you suffering today? Is Christmas as a season troubling you? I can assure you it is the expectation that you place on it that troubles you. Let go of the expectations and allow God to give you what He would like to give you, a larger dose of Himself maybe. Trust Him for your future. Amen!
