The heart is more deceitful than anything else, and incurable — who can understand it? I, Yahweh, examine the mind, I test the heart to give to each according to his way, according to what his actions deserve.

Do we Christians understand our own hearts? Do we see when our hearts deceive us? If we struggle it is easy to see ourselves laying the blame for our struggle on another when it could be our own wrong thinking and actions causing the struggle.
What corners will you cut? What deviations will you make? It may seem prudent to us but not to God. When we make deviations and cut corners to lessen pain we may be just as guilty of not trusting God as those who will not come to Him.
Is God just my ticket to heaven? If so we may hear: 'begone from me you who practice lawlessness.'
God sees and deals in real time and real actions. He is not deceived, He is not mocked. Amen!
