Living Word

For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the ideas and thoughts of the heart. No creature is hidden from Him, but all things are naked and exposed to the eyes of Him to whom we must give an account.

The first 11 verses before this deals with entering into God's rest from striving, through Jesus. Jesus was the giver of rest. He talked of placing His yoke upon us and that it was a yoke of rest. He said: "come to me all you who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest for your souls. " Matthew 11:28.

How do we enter God's rest? The above passage tells us:.read the word and find Jesus there for as we read the word of God it shines a light in our souls and shows us the truth. God's truth is a healing truth. It reveals our heart in its light and shows us our sin. Repentance brings us back to Him. Repentance is the beginning of the refreshing stream.
