Everyone the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will never cast out.
John 6:37 HCSB
I am grateful that the Father gave me to Jesus. I still remember the struggle I went through leading up to salvation. However, it was worth it when we finally connected. I have been His since that time. There have been many upheavals and disasters but many good times and for all I am grateful because through it all I have come to know Him more.
I think the biggest challenge is to continue to believe He loves us, especially if we are prone to perfectionism. When I fail, which is often, I have to remind myself He is still in charge and He loves me still. Humans fall out of love, He doesn't. In the verse above Jesus is saying He will never cast us out.
We have an enemy who would cast us adrift from our saviour so He could destroy us. He lies and condemns us. Jesus faithfully stays close and whispers: "I love you, look at me"!
