The Difficult Ones

But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Matthew 19:26 HCSB

Jesus said the above passage after having said:

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “I assure you: It will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven! Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”
Matthew 19:23‭-‬24 HCSB

The disciples were dumb struck when Jesus said it would be hard for the rich to enter in to eternal life, they had said: "well then who can be saved?" Why did they say that? We're they rich themselves or had friends or family who were. At the end of the chapter Jesus is telling the disciples that they would sit with Him in heaven on 12 thrones judging. He was assuring them that they would make it. It is interesting that Judas was still there at this point. In other words, Jesus had included Him, his own actions excluded him.

Each of us have those in our world that have resisted Christ and resisted Christ. Perhaps they are comfortable. Only the Spirit of God can dislodge that comfort. Now is the season of prayer and fasting. Let's bring them before the Lord in prayer. Amen!
