I Know Who My Father is

The Lord is my light and my salvation — whom should I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life — of whom should I be afraid? When evildoers came against me to devour my flesh, my foes and my enemies stumbled and fell. Though an army deploys against me, my heart is not afraid; though a war breaks out against me, still I am confident.
Psalms 27:1‭-‬3 HCSB

Do you know why the Psalmist was able to say the above? Because his delight was to be in the presence of the Lord. We fear losing what we hold on to. If we hold on to the Lord we do not fear losing Him for He says: "I will never leave you or forsake you."

It is us who forsake but not Him. He is faithful and just. Amen!

Today I took my 86 year old mother to visit a potential 94 year old relative she has never seen before. This man was an orphan but carries my maiden name as his surname. Mum did not know he was an orphan, I must have not told her or she had forgotten. She asked this man who his parents were. He hung his head and said: " I do not know." He does not know it but his daughter and I are planning a DNA test. I pray it is positive as this man needs to know His roots before he dies.

I know who my eternal father is, as well as my natural father. Eternity will last longer than the here and now. Amen!
