We Can't Boast

For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift — not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them.

God's grace is poured out upon us and leads us to repentance, in repentance our faith mixed with desire reaches out to our God for relationship. Faith in Him is what sustains us along the journey.

Our God is drawing us to repentance from dead works into a living relationship with Him. Stubbornness on our part can cost us our pride and all it is caught up in. If things are in the way, they have to go.

Our cozy lifestyles are a hindrance to the gospel, especially if we are self-made. We need to be God-made. Anything that comes from God is good and as it is not of ourselves, there are no other gods involved. He will not allow other gods before Him.

He has a plan for us to walk in. He has works for us to do. While ever we demand our own way, struggle will prevail. Yet with a heart surrendered to Him, all things are possible.
