Go in Power

So when they had come together, they asked Him, “Lord, are You restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time? ” He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or periods that the Father has set by His own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:6-8

That apostles were still on about their agenda, restoring Israel. It is almost as if they are saying: "Ok! We get that you had to go and die on a cross and that we must be born again, but how about getting rid of the Romans now?"

We can be so caught up in our agenda we can miss the heart of God. Jesus answers them, not with a slap on the face, but gracuously: "No! I want you to be my witnesses and to help you I will send My Holy Spirit."

A witness must have seen something. What had they seen, if these scriptures are still true today, what have we seen? We must also be empowered by the Holy Spirit and we must also go.

What does "Go' look like to you? It could be your own street. How can you "Go'? With the Holy Spirit. Amen! Seek Him!
